ASLEF London dispute latest

19 February 2007

ASLEF will put the latest LUL 3-year pay offer to its members with a recommendation to accept.

Keith Norman says that because the Mayor has announced that he has suspended proposals for later tube running the union is no longer in dispute over productivity strings.

The straight pay deal, which will be put to a membership referendum concluding on 12 March, will consist of increases of 4% from 1 April 2006, and a minimum of 3% a year for the rest of the 3-year deal.

ASLEF’s London organiser Steve Grant summarised the position as ‘No strings, no strikes.’
