Action in Jubilee Line dispute

13 March 2013

ASLEF’s executive committee has called for its members working on the Jubilee Line to withdraw their labour for turns booking on all day on 2 April and 2 May.

A ballot was carried out in relation to the trade dispute between ASLEF and London Underground concerning the breakdown in industrial relations on the Jubilee Line including all matters arising out of or in consequence of the dispute. Accordingly, relevant members were asked whether they would be prepared to take part in strike action. The result of the ballot, which closed at 10am on Wednesday, 13 March 2013, is as follows:

Number voting yes: 90.3%

Number voting No: 9.7%

As a result of this ballot result and the company’s continued refusal to give guarantees about its willingness to abide by agreements, ASLEF’s executive committee has called for its members to withdraw their labour for turns booking on all day on 2 April and 2 May.

The General Secretary has advised the company.
