Agreement reached with Scotrail

19 September 2016

The Agreement, which will apply to Scotrail services on the newly electrified routes, is expected to be ratified by ASLEF’s Executive Committee tomorrow morning. The agreement retains conventional staffing of the electric trains and guarantees that drivers will continue to energise doors while conductors will perform platform interface duties and close doors, before signalling to the driver that it is safe to depart.
