ASLEF and South West Trains reach agreement

28 July 2005

ASLEF who represent over 1100 drivers on South West Trains has today reached an amicable agreement with the Company and has cancelled its proposed strike action which would have taken place on the 22nd of September 2004 and 6th October 2004.

The action was called after the company tried to impose a series of new rosters on train drivers without prior consultation.

Acting ASLEF General Secretary Andy Cotogno stated that the agreement "puts behind the problems of rostering for the company and more importantly our members".
