Apprenticeship Award Nominations
29 Sep 2011
Two ASLEF led apprenticeship schemes have been nominated for awards in Scotland. Both apprenticeships are run within ScotRail in partnership with the union.
The Modern Apprenticeship scheme, which has see 11 school leavers join the company to learn about the rail industry whilst completing a vocational qualification in customer care, has been nominated for a number of awards at this year’s Skills Development Scotland’s awards.
The apprentices, who took part in the Adult Apprenticeship that has been run in ScotRail in partnership with ASLEF and Unite, have been nominated for Scottish Union Learning’s Learner of the year award. These apprentices have completed vocational qualifications at level 2 and 3 as well as a national certificate.
