ASLEF Education - Wales

Learning activities in Wales

The Learning Partnership Programme has developed momentum over the past six months. Our network of Union Learning Representatives has expanded and now covers both Arriva Trains Wales & First Great Western.

Following successful enrolment days at Canton, Cardiff, and Carmarthen a range of learning opportunities are now being delivered to rail workers across south Wales. As we continue to roll out the programme, we will next be running activities in North Wales and anticipate further expansion and increased learning opportunities across the country in 2012.

The Learning Partnership Programme with the support of the Welsh Assembly is providing funding to give members the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills. The programme is directly organising a range of learning activity based on members input and needs. Bursary funding is also available to members who wish to pursue independently run activities, such as through local colleges. If you are interested in finding out more or want to get involved, please contact the Project Worker for Wales.
