EC Resolution 537/453
27 Jun 2011
EC Resolution from the June EC session concerning DB Schenker
On the 14th June 2011 the EC adopted the following resolution following reports from the Lead Officer of the DBS Traincrew Company Council.
" That the report be noted and developments awaited.
Further that the General Secretary be instructed to advise the HR Director DB Schenker that failure to resolve issues surrounding Driver Competence to the satisfaction of this Executive Committee will bring DB Schenker into dispute with ASLEF.
Further that the General Secreatry be instructed to advise the HR Director DB Schenker that this Executive Committee will not consider any productivity package until the outstanding pensions valuation is resolved to the satisfaction of this Executive Committee.
Further the General Secretary be instructed to advise the HR Director DB Schenker that all outstanding items to hand must be concluded to the satisfaction of out negotiators before any productivity package is considered by this EC.
Further that the General Secretary be instructed to to make arrangements for Mr N Whitehead,District Organiser, District No 4 And the DBS Company Council to meet with this EC in July 2011 session."
The Company Council believe the above resolution is sufficiently robust to address outstanding items at hand that we believe need urgently addressing by the Company.
As the Resolution states, the Company Council are currently starting off the long process of negotiating with DBS a productivity package that will be hopefully ready in time for next years pay anniversary. However there are a lot of other issues that urgently need addressing nationally. The above resolution we believe gives enough weight to our arguments over the issues named above.
As productivity talks progress, the Company Council and Management will issue a joint statement to the membership that will inform members of the progress made so far.
Obviously as the resolution and circular state, NO PRODUCTIVITY PACKAGE will be accepted for consideration until the above issues are addressed.
