Ballot for Industrial Action

At the August 16th session of the ASLEF EC resolution 677/454 was adopted.

The Resolution is as follows.

"That the Correspondence be noted and the General Secretary be instructed to advise DB Schenker that their failure to enter into negotiations for the introduction of a competence development process and the Draconian disciplinary action taken against our members and the abrogation of agreements is totally unacceptable to ASLEF.

Further that the General Secretary be instructed to give the HR Director,DB Schenker statutory notice of our intention to ballot our members employed by DB Schenker/International for Strike Action.

The provisions of the statutory regulations to apply.

The closing date for the return of ballot papers is to be first post Monday 19th September 2011.

Further that the General Secretary and President of the Executive Committee or their appointed deputies be involved in all further meetings relating to this matter."
