COMPANY COUNCIL OPPOSE SMART PENSIONS

The Company Council has told London Midland that they will not be supporting the SMART Pension scheme because: • It undermines provision of state benefits such as, pensions and health care. • London Midland has refused to reinvest their considerable savings in our pension fund and they want to keep the bulk of the saving for themselves. • It is an opt-out scheme.
