Three companies notified of industrial action

Following positive membership votes for industrial action, the ASLEF executive committee has authorised strikes in NX East Anglia, Northern Rail (West) and East Midland Trains

• EAST MIDLANDS TRAINS

Our Driver Grade members employed by East Midlands Trains voted by 75% to 25% to reject the 2009 pay offer and will withdraw their labour on 24 July, 27 July, 31 July, 3 August, 7 August and 10 August with further dates to be advised.

• NORTHERN RAIL (WEST)

Our Driver Grade members employed by Northern Rail (West) voted by over 90% to take strike action and will be withdrawing their labour on 6 August with further dates to be advised.

• NX EAST ANGLIA

Our Driver Grade members employed by NX East Anglia voted by over 95% to take strike action and will withdraw their labour on 30/31 July, 6/7 August, 13/14 August and 20/21 August with further dates to be advised.
