SUSPENDED action at Freightliner Intermodal

07 May 2009

The union has suspended planned industrial action at Freightliner Intermodal to allow more talks. Union members had voted to take industrial action on 29 May – with further days of action to be advised.

The union reports that 80% of members voted in the ballot.

The dispute concerns a ‘failure by management to provide an acceptable resolution to the pay negotiations’ by withdrawing their offer.

The result of the ballot was

Yes 153  (72.9%)

No   52   (27.1%)
