Driver on TV

25 January 2012

Readers of the ASLEF Journal (and who wouldn’t be one?) may remember a feature we ran last December about Simon Davies, a Manchester Pendolino driver who had spent a fortnight driving freight traction through the bitterly cold Andes mountains for a TV programme called ‘The Toughest Place to be a Train Driver’.

The programme makers tell us that that his exploits will be shown on BBC 2 at 21:00 on Sunday 12 February.

For the benefit of those few ASLEF members who don’t carefully file their copies of the Journal each month, the article can be seen on page 14 of the December edition by clicking here.
