Ballot for

After emergency talks between the National Organiser Andy Reed, members of the Executive Committee and representatives from ‘one’ Railway, the company have agreed to make substantial improvements to the current 2005 pay claim.

A joint statement from management and the Company Council has been issued and the Company Council are in receipt of a written apology from ‘one’ Railway in relation to the threats of litigation made at the Avoidance of Disputes meeting held on 9 December 2005. As a result, the ballot for industrial action has been suspended pending the outcome of a referendum of ASLEF members in respect of the revised offer
