London Pride: Saturday 27 June 2015

02 June 2015

This year sees the 30th anniversary of the tremendous acts of solidarity between miners and the group Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM). These events have been bought to the attention of the world in the hugely successful film Pride and to mark the anniversary of these moments ASLEF and members of the NUM will march once again in solidarity at this year’s London Pride on Saturday 27 June.

The TUC have liaised with the original members of LGSM who will be attending and the Tredegar band will reform for the day to lead the way. We would like as many members and banners there as possible to show that the union move mentcontinues to support equal rights for the LGBT community.

Any members or branch groups wishing to attend should meet at 11.00hrs on Baker Street; we will be in section 3 of the parade which will move off at 13.00hrs. The nearest tube station is Baker Street.
