TUC 150

17 April 2018

This year, the TUC celebrates its 150th anniversary and with it, a century and a half of working together to change the world of work for good. To mark this anniversary, their 150 voices project presents a set of trade union stories from the past 150 years, presenting snapshots of trade unionists whose stories will surprise, move and inspire.

Some are pioneers, many are ground-breaking activists. Some did the work that resulted in the rights and institutions we have today. Some stories tell of trade unionists rising to the challenge of their era.

On International Women’s Day they profiled 8 stories of women trade unionists under the banner ‘winning equal pay’.  You can read about ASLEF member Pauline Cawood’s story on the TUC website: here
