Strike action at Barking depots

11 December 2018

ASLEF members employed by London Underground at Barking District Line depot and Barking Hammersmith & City Line depot have voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action after the company’s failure to address the abrogation of agreements.

85% of members voted for action on a turnout of 67%.

Action will take place between 0001 and 2359 on Thursday 10th January and then 0001 and 2359 on Wednesday 23rd January.

District Organiser Finn Brennan commented, “These are issues that local management should have quickly resolved by sticking to established working practices instead of trying to circumvent them.

“Once again we have been forced to ballot for industrial action because London Underground management simply refuse to engage to solve industrial relations issues until members are ready to strike. It's no way to run a railway!”
