Save Rail services to Stone, Norton Bridge, Barlaston and Wedgewood

01 July 2005

Train drivers have backed the community campaign to save rail services to Stone, Norton Bridge, Barlaston and Wedgewood.

ASLEF acting general secretary Keith Norman said, "Staffordshire needs these vital rail links not only to serve communities which otherwise would be solely dependent on bus or car travel but because small lines are vital for the viability of the main rail network."

"Train drivers join with all railway workers and the travelling public to back the campaign to save these vital services."
