Pay talks break down with London Underground

06 June 2019

ASLEF formally rejected London Underground’s offer of a 2.6% pay rise for this year, and RPI plus 0.2% for 2020, at pay talks on Wednesday 5 June. We think that, while LU plans to double its operating surplus, staff deserve to be properly rewarded for their work and to see progress on increasing quality time off and the other parts of our claim.

Finn Brennan, ASLEF’s organiser on the Underground, said: ‘This offer is just not good enough. More talks will now be arranged, involving the conciliation service ACAS, but it is time for management to come up with a serious offer if they want to avoid a dispute.’
