Brady decision puts ASLEF back on track

The last 3 days has seen the Employment Appeals Tribunal remedies hearing of ex General Secretary Shaun Brady come to a close.


The hearing which took place back in April 2006 was adjourned until this week at the request of the complainants’ lawyer so that the Certification Officer could give consideration to the complainants claim for reinstatement into ASLEF membership.


Shaun Brady"s request to be reinstated has been denied unanimously by the tribunal.


General Secretary Keith Norman has said ‘this verdict is what we have been waiting for in order that the union can finally move on from the past that has dogged us over the last few years.’
