Brady: Union wins right to appeal ET decision

23 February 2006

The Employment Appeal Tribunal today granted ASLEF the right to appeal against the decisions made by the original employment tribunal that favoured Shaun Brady. The appeal will be presented on 20 and 21 March.

Keith Norman, the union’s General Secretary, said he was very pleased at the decision.

‘Today we have moved a significant step further towards a definitive end to a dark period in our union’s history,’ he said. ‘I am sure I speak for all those who care about ASLEF when I stress the need to put this sorry distraction behind us and move on to our proper work of representing our members in a professional and transparent way.’
