Northern Rail industrial action suspended

The two strikes planned on Northern Rail [on Friday 21 November and Thursday 27 November] have been suspended, after progressive talks, pending a meeting of ASLEF's executive committee tomorrow [Tuesday].

Northern Rail drivers vote to strike

13 November 2014

Train drivers working for Northern Rail have voted overwhelmingly for strike action after the failure of the company to make a satisfactory pay offer to members. 82.2% of Northern Rail drivers voted for industrial action; with 17.8% against. Turnout was 82%.
