Train overcrowding figures prove ever increasing fares do not deliver value for money

A Department for Transport study has identified the 10 most over-crowed trains on the UK rail network with the worst perpetrator being 111% over capacity. The 1646 Euston to Crewe service operated by London Midland had an average of 435 standard class passengers at its most crowded point. This is over twice its intended capacity of 206.
